Just Chop Production House
Overview: Logo Design, Branding & Style Frames
Role: Graphic Designer / Art Director
Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
This project was commissioned by a client who was in need of complete rebranding for their side project, justChop Animation and Virtual Reality. We identified the need for a new logo, a website revamp, and a new animation reel to promote the new branding. The previous name of my client’s company did not encompass all that he did and wanted to provide. After discussing the scope of services he would like to provide, we decided that Just Chop Production House would better describe the
Logo Design
Concepts
I began this project by developing a variety of directions we could go with this logo design. The client specified they want to explore using the ‘J’ and ‘C,'‘ as well as the traditional split-flap displays.
Iterations
My client selected the isometric cube variation to proceed with further exploration. I went on to create a variety of iterations to show him. My main focus was to create an element on the top of the logo that could lend itself to be animated in later stages on the branding.
Final
The variation we finalized has a simple, abstract diamond design that can also be used as an icon or watermark to depict the company.
Website Rebranding
My client previously was using Adobe Behance to market his business and wanted someone to help him move over to another platform, Carrd. This new site is functioning as not only his business card but also a visual portfolio to show prospective clients his past work. While working with this platform, there definitely limitations to the layout and structure that made for a fun challenge.
Style Frames + Storyboard
This project was the first time that I had my hand at style frames. My client gave me full creative power to design a variety of concepts to be used as a role out of the new logo and branding. On the top right of all the concepts you will see the storyboards I put together to highlight the elements I was focusing on and to be used as more reference.
