Ego Death Website

Overview: Web Design

Roles: Web Designer

Tools: HTML, CSS, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

While working in teams, we were tasked to design a website for a local small business using mobile first development. My partner, Emma Carr, and I developed a page for an artist named Nishant Malhotra to display his artwork for perspective clients and other psychedelic art enthusiasts. Our vision for this website was to create a parallax interface with a psychedelic minimalist aesthetic.

Inspiration

In consulting with our client, we came to the conclusion that some of the key elements that he was looking for in his personal website was strong typography and a clean, minimalistic look with accents of color throughout.

Wireframe

Because this was developed for mobile first, we began our wireframes on a iPhone 8, then a iPad Pro and finally a MacBook Pro.

Final Screens

Our client wanted to incorporate the colorful patterns he created, so we decided to use them as a visual break between each main section.

The final design captures all the elements requested by our client, as well as, highlights his brand and art. With this website, we effectively created a well designed space that will provide our client with a viewport that he can display both his artwork and merchandise to prospective clients and spread the style of psychedelic minimalism.
